Stunning Large 18th Century Qianlong period Chinese Blue and White bowl 26cm

Impressive Large Qianlong Bowl 26cm diameter (10.5). The Exterior of the bowl is decorated with vibrant and detailed Cobalt Blue and White underglaze decorative scenes of Pagodas and mountains on the side of a lake or sea shore within Islamic style cartouches. In between the cartouches you have sprigs of flowers as decoration. The rim is gilded in gold.

There is a real sense of Islamic design in the overall decoration. Possibly made for the Middle Eastern or Indian market. The interior has a deep and intricate border in underglaze blue of stylised panels with sprigs of flowers and the central motif of a peony flower. The quality of the work is quite superb.
