This Is A Rare Piece Of Staffordshire Blue And White Pearlware. The Pattern "Nuneham Courtney" Is From A Location In England. Nuneham Courtenay is a village about 5 miles southeast of Oxford. It is on the left bank of the River Thames. The Pattern Itself And The Wild Rose Border Are Not That Uncommon Or Rare But The Piece They Are On Is.

It Is A Compote Or Footed Console Bowl And Is In Remarkable Condition For Being Over 200 Years Old. In My Research I Found Only One Other On A Site Called "Cherished". The Blue Color On This Piece Is Spectacular. It Is 11 Inches Long, 8 Inches Wide (Front To Back) And Stands 4.5 Inches Tall.
