The factory started its activity in 1886. The two brothers L'Herminé Declercq, Emile and Joseph, set up a earthenware factory in Orchies (Flanders) in 1886 because Emile, owner of a earthenware factory in Rebaix, Belgium, wanted to increase his production by creating a new company. It should be noted that Orchies is located near the village of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, famous for its earthenware and where the Moulin des Loups factory had been based since the 18th century. In 1923, the Orchies and Hamage factories merged under the name Moulin des Loups & Hamage. The company's new brand image was a windmill with the name ORCHIES in capitals. This oyster plate is stamped????? Gned by Orchies Moulin des Loups & Hamage, France.
