RARE EARLY AMERICAN McCOY BUTTER CROCK with LID BLUE and WHITE BANDS YELLOW WARE

What a great butter crock. This is a follow on to the McCoy butter crocks that are part of their "Dandy-Line" series of white banded crocks and storage pieces first produced in 1915. This butter crock has an added blue band to the white bands. The blue and white bands contrast nicely with the bright yellow clay.

The crock is nicely formed with an extended shoulder around the rim and a flat side. Measuring 6 ½" in diameter by 4 ½" in height to the rim, this butter crock is in as near mint condition as you will find.

The crock has only a short fine line in the glaze that doesn't go through, you can't feel it with your nail, and a couple tiny flakes on the top of the rim that don't detract. The lid has only a tiny flake on the edge that doesn't detract. This beauty is an attractive butter crock in a hard to find band pattern.
