Here we have an exceptional flat sided pitcher. This is a stunning pitcher decorated with 3 blue and 12 white bands that contrast nicely against the yellow clay. The potter did a nice job of applying the bands, they were thickly glazed with the bands raised on the side of the pitcher. This blue and white banding pattern is repeated on other pieces of yellow ware including pepper pots, master salts and mustard pots. Measuring 4 ¾ in height to the rim by 4 in diameter across the foot this pitcher has a flat chip on the outside of the rim, a small glaze pop on the side and a fine spider in the glaze on the underside of the foot.
