Chinese Qing dynasty (early 19th century) deep dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with a stylized chrysanthemum and conch shell motif often referred to as the starburst pattern. Three small sprays of greenery are on the exterior wall. The base and foot rim are unglazed.
The Diana Cargo sank in 1817, the cargo of the shipwreck was recovered in 1993. All the Diana Cargo recovered items were auctioned at Christies in March 1995.
