A superb Kangxi Dragon and Carp Plate circa 1700 in rich tones of blue and white. 22cm diameter and 3cm tall. The Carp reaching from the water for the flaming Pearl while the Dragon extends his claw to try to grasp it. The underside decorated with two joined fishes within two blue rings. Branches of foliage to the under edge. This is possibly rare Dehua Blue and White looking at the worm trails in the wonderful rich Cobalt blue tones.
