A fantastic pair of early Qing dynasty plates believed to be dating to the time of the Qianlong Emperor around 1720. They measure around 8.5 inches.
The condition is as shown with each having an edge nibble which I believe would have been down to them being displayed using wire edging. One has a small hard to see crack leading from the edge damage. Having said this they still both display really well. Non smoking house and stored in dark and dry conditions.
I have collected many items over the years and it is now time to let some go as well as finally have room in an overflowing house, loft and sheds. The plates have been researched and the dates given however with any piece of this type they may be variations in dates etc within the Qing period or indeed earlier Ming. So please study them carefully.
