Dehua Blue and White 19th C Chinese Porcelain Plate

This 19th C Dehua Blue and White Chinese Porcelain Plate depicts a scholar and a student in underglaze blue hand painted decoration. They are shown under a tree in a landscape scene with scholarly articles nearby. The student appears to be carrying a water dropper and there is a paint brush in a brush holder on the table on the opposite side of the tree. The base is unglazed, smooth to the touch, with a slightly pinkish tinge to the exposed clay.

The base style and foot rim indicate a 19th century Qinq production date. The plate weighs about 1.5 pounds. It has an approximate 10 inch diameter.

There are what appears to be 3 hairline fissures; all shown in pictures. Additional pictures added and more available upon request.
