C, Platter Large Plate Qianlong Blue White Polychrome Figures. C, Chinese 15 inches, Octagonal Shaped Platter, Qianlong period (1736-95), hand painted in underglaze blue with a fenced garden scene with figures, flowering plants, rocks, a bird flies in the sky above an elegant, slim lady, while a boy is sat perched upon the rocks playing a flute. The lady, boy and blossoming plants are painted in soft famille rose coloured overglaze enamels, further pretty garlands of flowers decorate the rim.

Length 15 inches (38 cm). Width 11 3/4 inches (30 cm). Two chips to rim do not show to reverse, rubbing wear, and some loss to enamels. Please refer to the photographs as they form an important part of the description.
