C1750, ANTIQUE 18thC ENGLISH LONDON BLUE & WHITE HAND PAINTED DELFT FLORAL PLATE. An antique English (London or Liverpool) Delft blue and white earthenware plate, which is extremely finely. Decorated in the Chinese manner with peonies and other flowers.

The upper surface is decorated with a central bouquet of floral sprigs within a patterned border, the plate rim with a repeating floral design, and an ocre glazed rim. He plate has an unglazed footrim, and three stilt marks seen to the underside as well as painted stylised foliate forms.

Width: 21.8 cm or 8 1/2 inches. In good antique condition given its substantial age, with expected wear and small chips to the rim. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
