Thick, fine crackled white glaze in the style of Shino ware, Seto area. The outside of the plate with brown glaze. Six spur marks on the outer bottom, six spur marks on the inner bottom. The design is inspired by a blue and white Vietnamese plate design, described as Annan ware. Japan, Seto, early 19th century. (27.5 cm), height 1 ΒΌ in. Usual abrasions and damages and repaired break. Nice and unusual piece, despite damage.
