Many variants of this design exist but all feature trees, a fence and a house or pagoda. The foreground almost always consists of shimmering water with assorted rocks and plants. This really is a super example in fantastic condition other than a small chip to the foot rim on the base and the usual crazing to the glaze. To the rear is an impressed'H' and possibly an'L' or an'i' or a semi-colon. Very likely Liverpool pearlware in origin (although it could also be Leeds).
25.3cm diameter and 353g. Normal age-related crazing to the glaze. Almost miraculously, NO CHIPS TO THE EDGE. One tiny chip to the foot rim.
Absolutely no cracks (even hairlines) whatsoever! Please contact me if you have any questions or would like further details or pictures. Please see my other items.
