6 Antique French Blue White Transferware Ironstone Aesthetic Botanical Plate Set. A beautiful antique Victorian set of 6 dinner plates. They are made of'terre de fer' / ironstone. They have a beautiful wild fflower transferware decoration in a soft dark blue color, on a cream white background. The decoration is typical for the Aesthetic movement.

The plates were made by Gien. The pattern is called'Ombelles'. Diameter plates: about 9 1/4. Good antique condition, very minor scratches, some minor crazing to the glaze and some roughness (from the baking process) to the glaze around the rims.
