Antique Chinese Export blue and white plate with a solitary lone Taoist sage hermit standing outside his humble hut gazing at a mountain valley landscape. Measures approximately 8 7/8 inches or 22.5 centimeters. Note brown dressed rim (jia mangkou) and beautiful footed rim.

Further note the nine birds flying in the distance..... Probably a reference to the mythological Nine Headed Bird of Immortality. I have taken photos showing glaze and underglaze blue at an angle to the light. Good condition as described and photographed above with minor wear from age and normal use.... A couple of tiny flea bites....
