Antique Chinese plate, KANGXI mark and of the period, blue and white 1662-1722

This is an antique Chinese blue and white plate. The plate has been meticulously done by Chinese potters in the Kangxi period. It is blue and white porcelain. During the early Qing Dynasty, conditions were unsettled in China and the use of reign marks on porcelain was restricted in many ways.

This period a number of different symbols started to be used as marks on porcelain. Among these conch shell, swastika.

Symbol, artemisia leaf, lotus flower, lingzhi sacred mushroom and other marks. This plate is marked with the conch shell. The plate has been damaged and repaired.
