A stylish antique Oriental, probably Chinese blue and white porcelain painted shallow dish or plate of rounded form with a slightly domed centre and raised rim applied with a brown stain to the rim. The dish is painted with painted with a central design based on a fan containing a landscape on ground with precious objects on a patterned ground.

The surrounding area contains images of precious objects set amidst flowering blooms with small vignettes set amidst flowering shrubs to the inside raised rim. The under side is painted with simple sprigs and the dish is not marked.
