For sale antique Chinese Blue & white porcelain plate, bowl, dish x 2. Kangxi period 1662 - 1722. The body hand painted with scrolls , flowers with vase, table all against a white ground. In good condition, considering age , some imperfections from the kiln.

Size: 16 cm or 6 3/8 diameter. (This pair exhibited at Winnipeg Art Gallery " CARGO WEST" February - April 1988, Canada). Very detailed and delicate cobalt blue painting on this porcelain dish.

It is amazing how accurate they could get with the blue. The glaze feel thick, smooth and shiny.

The white glaze has a slight bluish cast. Under glaze blue is used and varies in shading and depth, and has a nice soft blue color.
