All hand painted under the glaze faience or tin glazed earthenware, known as Delft. Lovely Chinoiserie style design featuring a basket or flower pot full with blooms in the center. Floral garlands and a patterned band on the border.
Bright mustard yellow slip at the edge highlights the beauty of the piece. Everything exquisitely drawn, exhibiting the great artistic skills of the painter. The Chinese export porcelain from the Qing Dynasty Kangxi period 17th-18th century was very fashionable, but more expensive, therefore the leading European potters were imitating the designs. Circa mid 18th century - 1750's/1760's, Dutch or English Delftware.
