An antique Yorkshire Brameld B&W transferware pottery Castle of Rochefort Soup Plate C. Made by Brameld at the Rockingham Works, Swinton, Yorkshire. Full pattern name is Castle of Rochefort South of France. Rochefort is a French seaport on the Bay of Biscay and is perhaps best known as the port from which Napoleon sailed into exile in 1815.
