Alfred Renoleau Angouleme France Hand Painted Blue & White Bird Faience Plate Nice late 19th or early 20th century faience earthenware blue. Decorated in hand painted blue with a bird on a branch with flowers. Marked on the reverse AR in blue.
Though the mark does not have the A for Angouleme, I found two similar pieces with the same mark on a French site attributed to Alfred Renoleau. Has one chip to the front edge and some glaze flaking along the bacxk edge, but otehrwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
