A Fine Late Ming Blue And White. Style Export Porcelain Jingdezhen ware. White porcelain of circular form with a foliated rim, the interior painted in very fine underglaze cobalt blue tones with a central circular medallion enclosing flowering branches of chrysanthemum reserved on a cobalt-blue ground, the cavetto encircled with wide lappet panels of flowering spray, geometric, tortoiseshell and treasures bands, divided further by narrow panels, a band of chevrons to the rim border, the reverse sparsely decorated with sprays of bamboo, a cobalt-blue. Six-character seal mark to the base with chatter marks, typical kiln-grit adhering to the footring and some to the front interior, typical. Frits to the edge of the liprim (as expected), covered with a pale blue-tinged glaze in darker hues where thick, partly soiled.

The current dish would be the largest of its kind. 21 cm (8.26) maximum cross diameter. The dish is in good pleasing antique condition with no chips, cracks and restoration. Some manufacturing imperfections to the glaze with some small unglazed areas. Some old wear to the glaze in general use. From Japan is at cost in Japan.
