18th Century Chinese Qianlong Period Blue & White Octagonal Export Plate. A superb Chinese blue & white octagonal plate depicting a simple hand-painted scene of a boat on water near the shore with rocks & trees. There is an attractive continuous border of leaves and blossoms and the plate also has a brown rim. The plate also has an unusually thin profile, especially at the rim. The plate is in very good condition with just one small shallow chip to the rim at the top of the plate and a slight partially unglazed manufacturing defect to the rear.
