18th C. Chinese Export Porcelain Blue & White Platter

Underglaze blue Chinese export porcelain octagonal platter, c. Condition: Typical glaze imperfections on the face, possible repaired frit on the rim; otherwise in excellent condition consistent with age and usage. Please examine the photos; they are part of the description.

Dimensions: Approximately 13 x 10. The border is decorated is edged with a floral and fish roe pattern.

The central scene is of a lake, with buildings, rocks, tree, and a bridge with two figures. The scene is very reminiscent of Blue Willow patterns found on English ceramics.
