14 Large MAKKUM Tichlaar Delft Blue/White Earthenware Jar w Lid, Mark Artist Jesse Kaspess. Mark w/I Artist Initial K. Stunning handpainted and crafted blue on white perfectly glazed ribbed earthenware jar w/ lid. Markings : Makkum, 186 and at side is the artist "K" for Jetse Kaspess. Decor is of feathery leafs at the near rim, floral and rounded fruits. Bordered at the bottom is ornate delightful floral and swirls. Footed with repeated XX and ornate swirls similar at the rim border. Great condition for age, no repairs, no breaks, rough bottom and rim, small chips at the base/bottom and one at the lid. Measurements : 14" tall w/ lid, about 8" widest width.
