WEDGWOOD HERMITAGE HOME OF ANDREW JACKSON BLUE AND WHITE PLATE RARE ANTIQUE vtm

This is a rare Commemorative Blue and White China Plate by Wedgwood featuring The Hermitage, Home of our Seventh President, Andrew Jackson. This plate has a heavy blue border and shows the Mansion in the center.

The back is imprinted with "Wedgwood Made in England" and also with either HV30 or UV30. It is printed with 1804 - The Hermitage. Home of Andrew Jackson - 1904.

There is also a quotation from Bancroft's Oration which is very difficult to read. This appears to be a very rare plate by Wedgwood. The others I have seen have a white rim and this is blue all the way to the edge with the rim having a floral design.

The plate measures about 9 in diameter. It is in very good condition for the age. There are bubbles in the glaze and the back has a couple of blue smears but no chips, cracks or breaks.
