Victorian Staffordshire Stoneware Blue White Willow Pattern Plate F Winkle & Co. Description: This is a fabulous original antique Victorian period Staffordshire Pottery stoneware large plate platter roasting dish having the classic flo blu / flow blue and white transfer printed willow pattern design. This fabulous dish is marked with a transfer print, to the base, Warranted - Staffordshire - F.

" together with the "stone ware impressed mark. A wonderful platter, ideal for roast beef, turkey, lamb, pork or vegetables and would be a fabulous decorative piece for a large dresser.

Colonial Pottery, Whieldon Road, Stoke, Stoke-on-Trent - 1890 - 1931. Date: The plate dates circa 1900. Condition: The plate is of good heavy quality, having no chips, cracks or old restorations.

There is some discolouration to the willow pattern top and base where the plate has been used in the oven or Aga, together with some crazing to the glazing but this again only adds to character. The plate does have old firing marks, these are original to the piece and only add to character and authenticity. Dimensions: Width:15.5 inches (39.5cm) Depth: 12.25 inches (31cm) Height: 1.5 inches (3.7cm).
