Possible Chinese Blue & White Diana Cargo Shipwreck(1817)Starburst Pattern Plate

I believe this piece might be from the famous "Diana" shipwreck cargo that was recovered in 1995. She went down in 1817 in the Malacca Strait while she was in the process of bringing a load of blue and white porcelain to Calcutta that had been paid for with opium. A further curious feature of this plate is that is in a pattern that scholars call an "Kitchen Chi'ing Allah Plate" or a Sino-Islamic plate given that a stylized version of the name of Allah is written six times in the border of the plate as well as four times in the center of the plate. Since much of the cargo of the "Diana" was destined for India it seems possible that these Islamic styled plates might have been for the Muslim population in India.

In any case, the plate dates to the 18th c. It has a reign mark on the reverse.

The plate is 8.5 in diameter and has no cracks, chips or other condition issues. There is the suggestion that the plate might have been submerged given some minor stains around the foot.
