Imperial Red Dragon in Clouds Blue White Chinese Porcelain Plate Qianlong Qing
This plate was made during the Qing Dynasty. Probably a Qianlong Mark and Period example. Decorated with three, five toe dragons flying through the clouds chasing flaming pearls. The front of the plate has a magnificent, imperial front facing dragon. Finely painted in red, with white enamel teeth and claws. The back sides are decorated with two dragons chasing flaming pearls through the clouds. These dragons are also finely decorated in red glaze with white enamel claws and teeth. Qianlong seal mark on the back. It is about 6 3/16 inches in diameter, or about 15.7 cm.
It weighs about 204 grams. It has a metal rim.
Small filled rim chip (please see the photos). Two short, old stress hairlines on the side (please see the photos). Small chips on the foot rim.
