19th C. Blue & White Historical Staffordshire Boston State House Plate EW&S 10

Reference: HISTORICAL STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN PATRIOTS & VIEWS by Jeffrey Snyder, pg. This is a beautiful 19th century blue & white historical staffordshire transfer printed Boston State House plate by Enoch Wood & Sons. It measures approximately 10 in diameter.

The plate, in pearlware glaze, is in beautiful estate condition with NO chips, NO cracks, NO repairs and NO restoration. It shows only age appropriate signs of wear, mostly on the backside, with surface scratches, stilt Mark's, foot wear, as shown in the photos. The pearlware glaze retains a bright shine on the front with only minimal signs of pits and utensil marks in the well area, visible only on close examination when angled towards a bright light source. The backside shows the impressed maker's mark for Enoch Wood & Sons Burslem. This historical staffordshire plate in the large dinner size would be a welcome addition to any collection.
